From Burnout to Rhythm

I didn’t set out to become a menopause and midlife wellness coach.

In fact, for years I was just like the women I serve today: pushing, striving, and silently struggling while trying to do everything “right.”

I ate clean.

I exercised.

I followed the advice from books, blogs, and experts.

And yet…

I woke up every morning exhausted.

I dragged through afternoons on caffeine and willpower.

I went to bed wired but tired, then lay awake at 3am, staring at the ceiling.

The harder I tried, the worse I felt.

Doctors told me my labs were “normal.” Friends waved it off as “just menopause.” Inside, I felt broken, like I was trapped in a body I couldn’t trust anymore.

What I didn’t know then was that my problem wasn’t effort. It was rhythm. And what I needed in midlife was different than before.

My Breaking Point

I remember one night vividly: sitting on the edge of my bed at 2:47am, completely exhausted but unable to sleep. Tears streamed down my face. I had tried every supplement, every sleep hack, every diet reset. Nothing was working.

And in that moment, I asked myself a simple but powerful question:

“What if my body isn’t the enemy? What if it’s just asking me to listen differently?”

That question changed everything.

Discovering the Power of Rhythm

When I stopped treating my symptoms as problems to fix, and started looking at the bigger picture, I realized my body wasn’t broken. Instead, it was out of rhythm.

• My nervous system was stuck in overdrive.

• My circadian cycles were disrupted by years of stress and overstimulation.

• My metabolism was confused by restriction and “start over Monday” patterns.

So I began a new experiment: instead of pushing harder, I approached my body differently.

I learned how to regulate my nervous system with simple practices that created safety in my body.

I began honouring light, meals, and movement in ways that aligned with my circadian rhythm.

I stopped chasing perfect diets and started nourishing consistently.

And slowly, the impossible began to happen.

I fell asleep easier - and stayed asleep.

I woke with more energy than I’d had in years.

My mood steadied. My brain fog cleared.

I felt calmer, more grounded, and more confident in my body.

My weight balanced out again.

It wasn’t about quick fixes. It was about getting my body back in rhythm.

From Personal Healing to Professional Calling

As my own health transformed, women around me began to notice.

They saw my energy return, the light come back to my face, the way I carried myself differently.

And they began asking questions:

“How are you sleeping again?”

“What are you eating?”

“What changed?”

I started sharing my practices - first with friends, then with clients. The more women I worked with, the more I realised: this wasn’t just my story. It was theirs too.

So many midlife women are walking around exhausted, anxious, and disconnected, believing it’s “just aging", when really, it’s about rhythm.

That’s when I knew: this was bigger than me.

I had to turn my personal awakening into a professional mission.

Ongoing study of women’s physiology, nutrition, and holistic wellness practices.

But more than the credentials, what I bring is empathy.

I know what it feels like to struggle in silence. I know what it’s like to do everything “right” and still feel awful. And I know the joy of finally finding what works.
